Latest mediation attempts made by the US representatives Steven Witkoff and Jared Kushner with respect to cessation of violence in Ukraine have been harshly criticized by the European media. Notwithstanding the fact that they work without any assistance from European powers after the President of the United States Donald Trump stopped the military aid to Ukraine, they managed to secure temporary ceasefires during their visits to Moscow and Kyiv; nevertheless, Russia has intensified missile and drone attacks on Kyiv right after their departure and expressed its determination to accomplish its military goals. In the meantime, Ukraine is intensively attacking Russian military infrastructure and oil facilities through the use of ultra-long-range drones; thereby draining the defense budget and income from fuel exports of Russia.
